# Arca Mail Backup

> Email backup for Mac by Color Vivo Internet, S.L.. It copies IMAP, Gmail and Outlook / Microsoft 365 accounts to storage the user owns (a Mac disk, a NAS or S3-compatible storage) as standard mbox files that open without the app. Not released yet: coming soon to the Mac App Store (macOS 14 or later), then Windows via the Microsoft Store.

Key facts:
- No server of ours: the app talks to the mail provider from the user's computer; we never host mail.
- Open format: mbox (mboxrd), one file per folder and month, plus manifest.json, a copy of the SQLite index and a README in every destination.
- Restore into the same account, and restore an imported .mbox into your account (both free). Migration between connected accounts: coming soon (Pro).
- Planned launch prices: Free for 1 IMAP account to a Mac disk (includes .mbox import); Pro yearly from 9.99 EUR (1, 5, 10, 50 or 100 accounts: 9.99 / 34.99 / 58.99 / 174.99 / 209.99 EUR); Pro lifetime for 1 account 49.99 EUR. Billing and refunds through the store.
- Coming soon: Windows, age encryption in the app, Microsoft Graph connection, Google Drive / OneDrive / Dropbox destinations, versions and retention, verification reports. Under study: Gmail API with the user's own Google Cloud project, SFTP and FTP.
