Connect your accounts

Any IMAP account: your hosting, your internet provider, cPanel, Dovecot…
Gmail and Google Workspace with an app password.
Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 with Microsoft sign-in.

Back up

Full backups to a disk of your Mac, internal or external, as standard mbox files (one per folder and month) with a JSON manifest.
With Arca Pro, also to a NAS, to S3-compatible storage (Wasabi, Backblaze B2, Cloudflare R2, Hetzner, AWS…) or to a folder synced with your cloud drive, and to several destinations at once.
Each account goes to the destinations you choose for it.
Scheduled backups in the background that pick up where they left off, plus Back Up Now whenever you want. Up to once a day on the free plan, every few hours with Pro.
Mail deleted on the server stays in your backup, marked as deleted.

Search and verify

Search by subject, sender, recipient or text across all your accounts, including mail deleted on the server.
Message previews never load remote content.
Check a backup at any time against what Arca saved.

Restore and import

Restore into the same account: messages come back into a new folder and nothing already on the server changes. By default only what was deleted comes back, so there are no duplicates.
Import .mbox files from Google Takeout, Apple Mail or Thunderbird as an offline account you can search.
Restore an imported .mbox into your connected account.

Plans and languages

Free for one account connected by IMAP, backed up in full to a disk of your Mac. Search, checks, import and restore are always included, with no size limit.
Arca Pro: a yearly subscription in levels of 1, 5, 10, 50 and 100 accounts, each with 2 weeks free, or Arca Pro for Life for one account.
If Pro ends, nothing is locked or deleted: your backups stay searchable and restorable.
No server of ours, no sign-up and no analytics. Passwords stay in the macOS Keychain.
In English and Spanish.
