Legal
Privacy policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data the website arcamailbackup.com handles and why. The short version: no cookies, no analytics, no tracking, and the only personal data we receive is what you choose to send us through a form or by email.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Color Vivo Internet, S.L.. Our company details are in the legal notice. For anything about privacy, write to support@arcamailbackup.com.
No cookies, no analytics, no third parties
- This website sets no cookies and uses no local storage to identify you, so there is no cookie banner.
- We use no analytics, advertising, social media widgets or tracking pixels.
- Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own domain. Your browser makes no requests to third parties when you visit the site.
- Links to other websites (for example Apple's support pages) only take you there if you click them.
Hosting
The website is served by Cloudflare, which acts as our hosting provider and processor. To deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, Cloudflare necessarily processes technical data such as your IP address and browser details. We don't use that data to identify or profile visitors. Cloudflare may process data outside the European Economic Area under the safeguards required by the GDPR (the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses).
Contact form and emails to support
When you use the contact form, we receive your name, your email address, the topic, your message and the language of the page you sent it from. The form sends this to our support mailbox (support@arcamailbackup.com) as an email; it is not saved in any database on the website.
- Purpose: to answer your message.
- Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and our legitimate interest in answering the people who write to us.
- How long: we keep the conversation while we deal with your request and then delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
“Notify me at launch”
If you ask to be notified, we receive your email address, the platform you chose (Mac, Windows or both) and the page language. It reaches our support mailbox as a single email; we don't store it in a database, a mailing-list service or anywhere else.
- Purpose: to send you one email when Arca Mail Backup launches on the platform you chose. No newsletter, no marketing beyond that.
- Legal basis: your consent.
- How long: until we send that launch email, after which we delete your request. You can ask us to delete it sooner at any time.
Who else sees your data
Nobody else, apart from the providers we need to run the website and receive email (Cloudflare for hosting and email delivery, and our email provider for the support mailbox). We don't sell or share your data.
The Arca Mail Backup app
The app isn't released yet. It is designed without any server of ours: it connects from your computer straight to your mail provider and writes to the storage you choose, so your mail, passwords and backups never reach us. Diagnostic logs only leave your computer if you export them and send them to us, and they never contain the content, subjects or addresses of your messages. Purchases will go through the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store, under their own privacy policies. We'll extend this policy with the app's details before it launches.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what was done before. Write to support@arcamailbackup.com. If you think we haven't handled your data properly, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (aepd.es).
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll publish the new version here with its date.
